KidsDream Programs
Little Wishes
KidsDream's mission is to help fulfill the dreams of abused and
neglected children of Snohomish County by providing them with opportunities to
develop their skills, talents and self-esteem (with things like music lessons,
playing sports, going to the prom, having a bicycle to ride or summer camp) and
to promote involvement by the entire community in helping these children
Each month we grant any number of
wishes. We are always seeking donors who can help us help a child realize their
dream by donating money to the little wishes fund or by joining the "Wish A
Month Club". By joining the "Wish A Month Club" you pledge a dollar amount to
be donated each month (by Visa or MX) and you will be notified of the wish that
you have granted. For more information contact Cindy at 425-583-9090

KidsDream Closet
Because children are often judged by what they wear, and to help
boost their self-esteem, KidsDream offers new and "gently used" clothing to
children who are placed in foster care or living in a relative placement. These
children often come to their new foster homes with just the clothes on their
backs. Not only are these children in need of basic clothing, (pants, shirts,
underwear, socks, shoes) they also need school supplies to start their new
school.
Along with clothing, KidsDream Closet
also has twin beds, cribs, toys and dressers available to foster parents.
KidsDream has partnered with Compass Health for this Closet project and have a
beautiful facility at the Compass Health campus in Everett. If you have items
to donate please call Cindy at 425-425-583-9090.
Back to School Drive
We believe that it is essential that
every child start school with the supplies they need to be successful. These
kids are in need of backpacks, binders, pens, pencils, crayons, scissors, etc.
If you are interested in hosting a "Back to School Drive" or would like to
donate, please email [email protected]
Summer Camp Wishes
A week at summer camp gives a child or
teen the opportunity to experience something wonderful ... the chance to step
out of their situation and be a "regular kid". In 2004 we helped send nearly 50
abused and neglected youth to summer camp. Along with nearly $4,000.00 in
scholarships and discounts these kids will have the time of their lives. Camps
range from $150.00 to $650.00 . If you would like to sponsor a camp experience
or donate to the camp fund contact

Graduating Youth
Did you know that only about 30% of youth from the foster care
system graduate from high school? KidsDream and DSHS-Children's Administration
honors the youth who have graduated from high school or obtained their GED.
KidsDream provides a "hope chest" of items such as new pots and pans,
silverware, dishes, towels, and more to help them start their life after
leaving the foster care system, and we partner with both business and civic
organizations to host a dinner and celebration. To help graduates, contact
